Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is this Sunday, 12 May, and here are some ideas of places to take your wonderful Mother!

I’ll be adding more to this list so check back again for new places. 🙂

Happy Macaron Day!

It’s the 1st day of spring and it’s Macaron Day (Jour du Macaron)!

Check out a list of places that are participating in Vancouver this year, as well as the charities they’re supporting:

Urban Tea Merchant is also debuting 2 new macaron flavours: Matcha Macaron and Vanilla Bourbon Tea & Kaya Macaron. Out of all the macarons I’ve tried in Vancouver (I have yet to try Kitchening, which I hear has been voted the best, and Leonidas), I find UTM the best! Read the Executive Chef’s biography, you’ll see! 😉

German Christmas treats

Last Christmas, I was relieved to find some German Christmas treats at none other than London Drugs! I found that the LD on Broadway & Cambie carries a great selection of European treats at great prices. Every Christmas, they have:

The Vancouver Christmas Market also sells some more German treats that one wouldn’t be able to find here. For instance, I finally found Zimtsterne!

Have a wonderful Christmas! Frohe Weihnachten! Joyeux Noel! Feliz Navidad!
